The updates address critical product defects.
March 28, 2022:
We are releasing Battery Monitor version 4.6 through the Mac App Store:
- Added new feature to optionally show the estimated remaining time in the Dock tile of the App. Depending on current charging or discharging process, the value corresponds to the time it takes for the battery to become full or empty.
- Support for VoiceOver was enhanced in some parts of the App.
- The App is now more robust in cases where a monitored Bluetooth device sends invalid battery readings.
Battery Monitor is a powerful App to display the charge state of portable Macs in the Dock, to display internal battery information, to capture charge and discharge curves, to keep logs of the aging process of the battery, and to add notifications via Notification Center or speech output.

We are releasing System Monitor Plus version 1.2:
- Added preliminary temperature sensor support for the Mac Studio (2022).
System Monitor Plus is a free add-on for System Monitor. After simply copying it to your computer, many additional features become available which are not permitted to be directly included in Apps from the Mac App Store.

XProtect and MRT are part of the built-in antivirus software of macOS. The packages do not appear in the Software Update section of System Preferences (or App Store in older versions of the operating system). macOS is updating the software automatically in the background if you have granted the system permission to download system data files and security-related files.
We are releasing TinkerTool System 7 version 7.86:
- Added new workarounds for macOS Monterey when authentication of privileged operations fails due to undocumented “ACM policy” errors.
- The application can now show the private size (storage consumption) of each APFS snapshot.
- The user interface to list APFS snapshots has been redesigned.
- The application can now detect internal crashes of Time Machine components. This helps to diagnose system installations where Time Machine does not run reliably enough to perform maintenance operations.
- User guidance for the network quality test has been enhanced for cases where the user selected an interface not routed to the Internet.
- The application can now offer automatic re-registration after it has been migrated to a new computer.
