We avoid the use of cookies. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and are managed by your web browser. Only in few, isolated cases, we use cookies for technical reasons when it is important to recognize that you are using some of our web pages in the same context, for example, when you like to place an order for a product on web page A and another product on web page B together in a single request. These cookies are not used to identify you as a person or to track your use of our website on the long term.

When you access a page of our website, the following data may be collected:

All aforementioned items collected during page request are not personal.

For reasons of security and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as requests you send to us, the website may, if desired, use SSL encryption. Sending data to this website using a form

What data is processed?

If you send us data via a form on this website, we will process all data entered in the form. You can recognize a form by having input fields and a ”Submit“ button below the input fields. As general rule, the specification of all data is voluntary. Only if the natural purpose of a form is to send us a request for which certain data fields are necessary, it will be required to complete these fields. For example, if you send us a question, we will need an address to send you an answer. Required fields are marked accordingly.

We point out that we process data of children only in the case when data about a child are sent to us via a form.

When transmitting over the Internet, the data sent by you are always encrypted, so that they can not be read by third parties.

Why do we process this data and based on which laws? How long will the data be stored?

Submitting data via a form to us is only at your own initiative and in your own interest, usually linked to a request or question.

If you are asked to provide your name, the name will be used to politely respond to you and to check if your request relates to an existing contract with you.

If you are asked to provide your postal address or e-mail address, this information will be used to respond to your request.

Further personal data will only be processed if this is necessary to fulfill the request sent by you in the sense of the form.

Since the data will only be processed if you provide them yourself and this is necessary, since we inform you about the use of this data, and you must agree beforehand with their use, the processing is legal under the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union.

The data is stored for an indefinite time.

Purchasing a software license through PayPro Global

What data is processed?

If you purchase a license for one of our software products from the reseller PayPro Global, any data you provide to the merchant with this order will be forwarded to us and processed by us. This can include base information about your payment, e.g. what type of credit card you have chosen and what type of risk is associated with that payment. However, this does not include security-critical data about your payment, such as full credit card or bank account numbers, for example.

What exact data is acquired and how this data is processed is at the discretion of the merchant and governed by their own privacy policy. This also applies to the use of cookies. Our Internet presence and the Internet presence of the retailer are separated by optical means and explicit notes, so that you can recognize the scope of the respective data protection measures.

Why do we process this data and based on which laws? How long will the data be stored?

Your name and information about the products you have purchased will be collected in order to issue a personalized license (“Registration”) and to enter a valid license agreement. The name is also used to identify you as a customer, for example, when a lost registration is to be recovered. This is done in your interest.

The order number of PayPro Global is recorded in order to be able to clearly assign your order in case of later clarification. Among other reasons, this is necessary for proper accounting.

Your address, in particular the country of delivery is recorded because it is required by law,

  • to control the correct calculation of VAT, sales taxes or similar taxes,
  • to verify compliance with export regulations for high technology products.

In the case of business customers from the European Union, the European VAT registration number is also recorded in order to check the legality of a VAT-free delivery (VAT Reverse Charge).

Your e-mail address will be recorded in order to send you an additional backup copy of the license data. This will be in your interest if the download of the registration file fails for technical reasons.

Other contact details, such as telephone or fax numbers, can be voluntarily provided by you in order to be able to provide you with the license data, even if you have provided an invalid e-mail address for delivery due to your own errors. This is done in your interest. We won't use this telecommunication data for any other purposes.

Your preferred language setting will be processed to provide you with the data in a language you understand.

The type of payment you choose will be used to assess whether or not we can arrange for PayPro Global to refund the purchase price, for example, in the case of an erroneous order.

We point out that we process data of children only in the case when a software license is bought by or for a child.

Without specifying the desired name for the license holder and the country of delivery, no license agreement can be concluded and we can not deliver a registration for activation of the software. These data are required to fulfill the purchase contract. With regard to the other non-voluntarily collected data referred to in this section, we are governed by German tax laws, the Commercial Code, European laws for Value-Added Tax, and the "Principles for the proper management and safekeeping of books, records and documents in electronic form and data access". In specific cases, the Foreign Trade and Payments Regulation applies additionally. For legal reasons, billing data must be kept for at least 10 years, other data about the transaction at least 6 years.

Purchasing a software license through Apple's App Store

If you acquire a license to use one of our software products from the retailer Apple Inc., or any of its affiliates using their "App Store" Internet service, we only process the fact that the particular software product has been delivered to a certain country. We don't process any further data.

Purchasing goods or services from us

What data is processed?

If you buy a product or service directly from us, data will only be collected if this is necessary to fulfill the purchase contract or to issue a valid invoice. If it is necessary to deliver the goods by shipping or to provide a service at your place, your name and address will be processed. If it is necessary to contact you, further contact details such as telephone number and e-mail address can be processed. If it becomes necessary to refund you a payment, we will process the necessary payment data, for example a bank account.

We point out that we process data of children only in the case when a product or service is sold by us to a child.

Why do we process this data and based on which laws? How long will the data be stored?

The data collected is required to fulfill the purchase contract. Processing data about this business incident is also required by law to comply with the Tax Code, the Commercial Code, the Value-Added Tax Law, and the "Principles for the proper management and safekeeping of books, records and records in electronic form, and data access". For legal reasons, billing data must be kept for at least 10 years, other data about the transaction at least 6 years.

Unlocking a software license purchased from PayPro Global or MyCommerce Digital River

If you have purchased a digital software license (“Registration”) for one of our programs from the retailers PayPro Global or MyCommerce Digital River, it will be necessary to enable this registration on your computer to allow the program to be fully unlocked, so that all its features become accessible. During this procedure, it is necessary that data from your computer is transmitted to us via Internet.

What data is processed?

Upon product activation, you will receive official confirmation that your purchased registration allows you to use this application on this computer. To do this, a short description of registration, program and computer has to be transferred to us. If you have complied with the terms of the signed license agreement, the application will receive a response that unlocks it.

The following personal data will be sent to us:

  • Your purchased registration: it contains the name of the future user whose name you have specified to become the license holder during purchase, as well as a sequence of letters and numbers that identifies the registration as being genuine.
  • a unique identifier of your computer: this identifier is computed based on individual features of your computer, for example its serial number or address numbers of its network interfaces. The original numbers are made unrecognizable. The identifier can only be used to recognize a particular computer. However, it is not possible to retrieve the original numbers from the identifier.
  • Type and version number of the application: this determines which program you like to activate.
  • Your Internet address: this identifier determines your current connection to the Internet. The address is needed to send the reply back to your computer. Under normal circumstances, we won't store this address permanently, but delete it after 15 minutes at the latest. Only in an event where your computer is clearly being used to harm our product activation process, for example through a targeted overload of our servers, the Internet address can be stored for a longer, indefinite period.
  • an identification of your operating system: For technical reasons, the operating system you are using automatically adds an identifier of the component that established the network connection with us. We have no control over what particular data is collected here. The name and version number of your operating system can be included in this data.

Please note that we process data from children only in the event that a product is activated for or by a child.

If you do not provide the data necessary for the activation, the application cannot be used on your computer.

Why do we process this data and based on which laws? How long will the data be stored?

The mentioned data will be processed, so that you can use our software products immediately after a registration was purchased. To fulfill the sales contract for the digital software license, automatic product activation ensures that you can immediately utilize the application specified in the data with the specified registration on the specified computer. The activation procedure also serves for your and our safety in order to detect and to prevent misuse of the license. Therefore, it is in mutual interest. In certain cases, we may be forced to use such a procedure to comply with unfair competition law.

The Internet address is recorded in order to ensure the proper technical operation of product activation. It is only stored for as long as necessary for this purpose.

The identification of the operating system is only recorded for technical reasons and usually not evaluated. In individual cases, we can statistically evaluate this data to better estimate the need for products for different operating system versions. This data will be deleted automatically after 100 days at the latest.

The remaining data is stored as long as the activated application should be usable on the affected computer. If you wish, you can immediately delete the data by calling the application's function to remove a registration. Thereafter, the application will no longer be activated for this computer, so it can no longer be used directly.

Since the data is required for the fulfillment of the purchase contract, or respectively, for technical reasons for product activation, and since you have been informed about the use of this data, and you need to confirm your consent with the contents of this privacy statement, processing is legal under the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union.

Activating evaluation mode for testing a software product

For certain computer programs, we offer to unlock all features for a trial operation, even if you did not obtain a user license yet. This allows you to determine if the software is suitable for your use purposes. To do this, you must request a so-called “evaluation ticket“ from us. To complete this procedure, it will be necessary that data from your computer is transmitted to us via Internet.

What data is processed?

When requesting an evaluation ticket, you will receive a temporary certificate upon your request that you may try this program for free on your computer. To do this, a short description of program, computer and Internet connection has to be transferred to us. If you have not tested this version of the program on this computer yet, you will receive a ticket that approves the trial.

The following personal data will be sent to us:

  • type and version number of the application: this determines which program you like to evaluate.
  • a unique identifier of your computer: this identifier is computed based on individual features of your computer, for example its serial number or address numbers of its network interfaces. The identifier can be used to recognize a particular computer.
  • your Internet address: this identifier determines your current connection to the Internet. The address is needed to send the reply back to your computer. Under normal circumstances, we won't store this address permanently, but delete it after 10 minutes at the latest. Only in an event where your computer is clearly being used to harm our ticket distribution process, for example through a targeted overload of our servers, the Internet address can be stored for a longer, indefinite period.
  • an identification of your operating system: For technical reasons, the operating system you are using automatically adds an identifier of the component that established the network connection with us. We have no control over what particular data is collected here. The name and version number of your operating system can be included in this data.

Please note that we process data from children only in the event that a ticket is requested for or by a child.

If you do not provide the data necessary for the request, you cannot receive a ticket for a free trial.

Why do we process this data and based on which laws? How long will the data be stored?

The data mentioned will be processed so that you can test our program for free. You will receive a digital ticket that will temporarily unlock all features of the program, even if you have not purchased a permanent license.

The Internet address is recorded in order to ensure the proper technical operation of ticket distribution. It is only stored for as long as necessary for this purpose.

The identification of the operating system is only recorded for technical reasons and usually not evaluated. In individual cases, we can statistically evaluate this data to better estimate the need for products for different operating system versions. This data will be deleted automatically after 40 days at the latest.

The remaining data will be stored indefinitely to prevent misuse of the ticket request procedure.

Since the data is required to grant an evaluation ticket, you have been informed about the use of this data, and you need to confirm your consent with the contents of this privacy statement, processing is legal under the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union.
