June 28, 2021:
Apple releases and re-releases new software via macOS Software Update:
- Apple XProtect Configuration Data version 2149 (Update Product ID: 071-57332)
- Apple XProtect Configuration Data, for macOS Mojave, version 2149 (Update Product ID: 071-57334)
- Apple Malware Removal Tool (MRT) version 1.81 (Update Product ID: 071-57333)
- Apple Malware Removal Tool (MRT), for macOS Mojave, version 1.81 (Update Product ID: 071-57335)
XProtect and MRT are part of the built-in antivirus software of macOS. The packages do not appear in the Software Update section of System Preferences (or App Store in older versions of the operating system). macOS is updating the software automatically in the background if you have granted the system permission to download system data files and security-related files.
June 22, 2021:
We are releasing NFS Manager version 5.3:
- Added preliminary support for future versions of macOS.
- Added support for general mount option to always update file access times even if this is causing bad performance.
- Fixed a problem where an incorrect file name suffix could be used when saving configurations in XML format.
NFS Manager is an application to control the NFS features built into macOS via a comfortable graphical user interface. The application uses Apple’s technologies like Bonjour or Open Directory to make management as easy as possible. When using directory services, NFS Manager can configure NFS features not only for a single computer but for a whole network of thousands of Macintosh systems, with a few mouse clicks only.
June 22, 2021:
We are releasing System Monitor version 4.4 through the Mac App Store:
- Added preliminary support for future versions of macOS.
- The position of the information window when switching between application modes has been optimized to better support small screens.
- Adds a workaround for failures of legacy drivers for third-party network interfaces that could prevent them to be usable for the network activity indicators in System Monitor.
- Adds a new workaround for rare issues where macOS could quit the application due to file management problems if any of the “top 5 processes” features was enabled by the user.
System Monitor is an application for the menu bar of macOS, designed to inform you unobtrusively about the activity of your computer. A Trial Version is available as free download.

We are releasing Backup Server Control version 2.52:
- Added support for future versions of macOS.
Backup Server Control provides a graphical user interface to setup and administer a server for network-based Time Machine® backups with a few mouse clicks on a Macintosh®. Other Macs running macOS Sierra or later can perform backups on the Time Machine server. The current status of network backups can be reviewed any time.

We are releasing Sync Checker version 3.7:
- This version adds preliminary support for future versions of macOS.
Sync Checker is a diagnostic application which can check if two folders or disks are perfectly synchronized, i.e. if they have exactly the same contents. When creating backup copies of valuable files, or when making sure that two computers or mobile devices work on the same set of data, the status of being “in perfect sync” can be very important. In order to be safe and to prevent loss of data, you can let Sync Checker verify whether a pair of file collections are matching exactly or not.

Apple releases new software via macOS Software Update:
- Command Line Tools for Xcode (Update Product ID: 071-54303)
The Command Line Tools enable UNIX-style development via Terminal by installing command line developer tools, as well as macOS SDK frameworks and headers. Many useful tools are included, such as the Apple LLVM compiler, linker, and Make. If you use Xcode, these tools are also embedded within the Xcode IDE.
We are releasing TinkerTool System 7 version 7.4:
- Added preliminary support for future versions of macOS.
- Added new feature to retrieve new panic reports of the “Always on” part of Macintosh models with Apple Silicon in the standard logs section of the Info pane.
- Added new feature to application security checks that indicates whether software products use the hardened runtime environment.
- Added support to create install media for future versions of macOS.
- Added the categories Media & Apple Music, HomeKit and Bluetooth to the feature to reset the privacy settings for applications.
- The feature to reset the language preferences for a user account is no longer needed with up-to-date versions of macOS and has been removed.
- Fixed a problem where the web interface for CUPS printing could not be opened via the respective button in the System pane.
- Fixed a problem where the feature to enforce a rerun of the Setup Assistant in the Recovery Mode emergency tool did not work with specific versions of macOS.
- The APFS feature to work with snapshots no longer includes mounted snapshots themselves in the menu of APFS source volumes.

- Added preliminary support for future versions of macOS.
- Added new option to enable slow-motion of Dock minimization when shift key is hold.
- Fixed an issue where no graphic overlay was shown on the Safari pane in specific versions of macOS if the user has not acknowledged the privacy settings for Full Disk Access yet.
TinkerTool is an application that gives you access to additional preference settings Apple has built into macOS. This allows to activate hidden features in the operating system and in some of the applications delivered with the system.
