Apple releases new software via macOS Software Update:
- Apple XProtect Configuration Data version 2147 (Update Product ID: 071-47177)
- Apple XProtect Configuration Data for OS X El Capitan or later, version 2147 (Update Product ID: 071-47178)
- Apple Malware Removal Tool (MRT) version 1.79 (Update Product ID: 071-40076)
- Apple Malware Removal Tool (MRT), for OS X El Capitan or later, version 1.79 (Update Product ID: 071-40073)
XProtect and MRT are part of the built-in antivirus software of macOS. The packages do not appear in the Software Update section of System Preferences (or App Store in older versions of the operating system). macOS is updating the software automatically in the background if you have granted the system permission to download system data files and security-related files.

Apple releases new software via macOS Software Update:
- Safari Technology Preview version 125 (Update Product IDs: 071-44528, 071-45900)
Safari Technology Preview allows users to get a sneak peek at upcoming web technologies in macOS and experiment with these technologies in websites and extensions.
We are releasing TinkerTool System 7 version 7.3:
- Added support for macOS 11.4.
- Cloning the operating system is now supported again if macOS 11.4 or later is used. Please see the reference manual for current restrictions.
- Adds workarounds for multiple defects in macOS 11.3 and later where creating install media was not working for specific macOS 11 installers.
- The policy for the format of possible destination disks when creating install media was changed to reflect the behavior of Apple’s latest installer applications.
- Error handling when creating install media was extended to show the user the exact reason why an operation has failed.
- Fixes a problem where a repaired copy of the defective installer for macOS 10.12.6 Sierra was not accepted to create install media.
- Fixes a problem where cleaning the staging area for kernel extensions was rejected with an “invalid argument” message.

The updates address many product defects and security issues.
May 20, 2021:
We are releasing System Monitor version 4.3 through the Mac App Store:
- To provide a permanent control menu at a known location, System Monitor now adds an additional application icon to the menu bar. This makes sure inexperienced users always have a base menu easily accessible. Pro users can remove this icon to save space.
- When switching between full user interface and operation in the menu bar only, the app now shows an additional notification that explains the change of control mode. Experienced users can disable this notice.
- To reduce flicker during startup, the application no longer tries to temporarily open its control window.
- Fixes a problem where spacer elements have not always been shown with the same picture quality in preview bars.
- Fixes a problem where diagnostic messages could be written to the system log when specific monitor items have been activated.

This update provides support for the beta test of macOS 11.5. It is used by Macintosh models with Apple T2 security processors or Apple Silicon.

We are releasing NFS Manager version 5.2:
- Added support for macOS 11.3.
- Uses clearer wording to describe demonstration mode.
- The application has been made more robust against bugs in other third-party applications that misidentify the security component of NFS Manager as possible adware.
NFS Manager is an application to control the NFS features built into macOS via a comfortable graphical user interface. The application uses Apple’s technologies like Bonjour or Open Directory to make management as easy as possible. When using directory services, NFS Manager can configure NFS features not only for a single computer but for a whole network of thousands of Macintosh systems, with a few mouse clicks only.

- Fixes an issue where iCloud Tabs do not appear in Safari.

- Added support for macOS 11.3.1. We now strongly advise against using macOS 11.3(.0).
- Adds a workaround for a problem where a defect in macOS 11.3 causes many Apple installers to be considered not genuine when creating install media.
- Fixes a problem where the health report for Apple flash memory showed zero readings for some older Apple SSD models. The application now makes clear that the full report can only be retrieved for configurations that comply with the NVMe standard.
- Fixes a problem where the tab item Protection on the pane Info could be empty after upgrading to macOS 11.3.
- Fixes a problem where the table of results from a mass security check for applications could not be sorted by the contents of the detail columns.

- The animation effect when deleting elements from the menu-bar layout control has been made more consistent.
- Fixed a rare compatibility issue with macOS 11 where the hierarchical table in the sidebar of the control window would not show all items or would not react to clicks on each of its lines.
