Known Issues

Current versions of the application cannot support Macs with any processor of the M4 product lines at the moment: If you intend to use System Monitor Plus version 2.2 on one of the Macintosh model series that are planned to become available from Apple in November 2024, you should be aware that access to CPU or GPU temperature sensors cannot work for technical reasons.

Workaround: We need to reverse-engineer the new hardware as soon as it becomes available. It is not possible to predict whether or when System Monitor Plus will support Macs with M4 processors.

Support status for Macs with more than 2 TB flash memory is unknown: It cannot be guaranteed that all temperature sensors for Macs that have multiple flash memory units are shown with their correct identifications or are shown at all.

Workaround: If you have a Mac Studio / Mac Pro (2023) with more than 2 TB of flash memory, you can help us to complete our knowledge about the sensor equipment in these models. Please contact us for further details.
