Apple releases new software via macOS Software Update:
- Apple XProtect Payloads version 132 (Update Product ID: 052-91314)
- Apple XProtect Configuration Data version 2193 for OS X 10.11 to macOS 10.14 (Update Product ID: 052-94691)
- Apple XProtect Configuration Data version 2193 for macOS Catalina (Update Product ID: 052-94692)
XProtect is part of the built-in antivirus software of macOS. The package does not appear in the Software Update section of System Preferences (or App Store in older versions of the operating system). macOS is updating the software automatically in the background if you have granted the system permission to download system data files and security-related files.
April 29, 2024:

Plus version 2.2:
- Added full support for Mac Pro (2023).
System Monitor Plus is a free add-on for System Monitor. After simply copying it to your computer, many additional features become available which are not permitted to be directly included in Apps from the Mac App Store.
April 25, 2024:
Apple releases new software via macOS Software Update:
- Apple SafeView version 10.1.1 (Update Product ID: 052-78634)
Changes in SafeView 10.1.1 are not documented by Apple.
SafeView is an internal utility that macOS customers can use to share their screens via Internet with service representatives from Apple or AppleCare. It allows remote access for support purposes. This software is not available to the general public.
April 24, 2024:
We are releasing Mac Power
Monitor version 2.7:
- Added new feature to reset all history data of the currently running session in the Power Overview window. This can make it easier to compare the behavior of the system when testing it with different power profiles or applications. The new function is available via the Commands menu.
Mac Power Monitor is a graphical, easy-to-use interface for the energy and power measuring features of macOS.

We are releasing TinkerTool System
8 version 8.91:
- Added new feature to separate or extract logs for specific process instances after a query has been made in the macOS log database.
- The user interface to work with the macOS database has been slightly redesigned.
- Fixed a problem where the options to retrieve source program and “signpost” information from the macOS log database did not work as expected.
- Changed error handling for cases where Apple blocks maintenance access to the macOS Software Update Service in operating systems published after March 2024.
- Several changes in the internal application architecture.

version 9.7:
- This is a maintenance update which fixes a minor problem where not all variants of date and time formats could be selected under all circumstances when customizing individual templates. The Formats pane now uses a different example date and time in order to make all variants visible and accessible.
TinkerTool is an application that gives you access to additional preference settings Apple has built into macOS. This allows to activate hidden features in the operating system and in some of the applications delivered with the system.
