We are releasing Backup
Server Control version 2.9:
- Added preliminary support for future versions of macOS.
- Legacy code was removed. The new minimum operating system is now macOS 11.
Backup Server Control provides a graphical user interface to setup and administer a server for network-based Time Machine® backups with a few mouse clicks on a Macintosh®. Other Macs running macOS Sierra or later can perform backups on the Time Machine server. The current status of network backups can be reviewed any time.
June 27, 2023:
We are releasing Battery Monitor
version 5.0 through the Mac App Store:
- Added new feature to show the connection type of attached AC adapters. This is supported on operating system versions and Macintosh models that are capable of reading out the technical specifications of the power supply.
- Added new option to show values in the Dock tile in enlarged fashion.
- The layout of history windows has been optimized. When resizing a window, the labels for the y-axis keep their widths which leaves more space for the graphs.
- Users who enabled history windows in standard mode and enforced the use of tabs for document windows in macOS could create compatibility issues with specific features. To avoid this, Battery Monitor now automatically opts out of using tabs.
- Fixed a problem where the voltage of an attached AC adapter could not be shown in some versions of macOS.
- Legacy code has been removed. The minimum operating system version is now macOS 11.
Battery Monitor is a powerful App to display the charge state of portable Macs in the Dock, to display internal battery information, to capture charge and discharge curves, to keep logs of the aging process of the battery, and to add notifications via Notification Center or speech output.

The update addresses very critical security issues. The
previously released version of Safari 16.5.1 has been
withdrawn.

Apple releases new software via macOS Software Update:
- Apple XProtect Configuration Data version 2168 for OS X 10.11 to macOS 10.14 (Update Product ID: 032-78555)
- Apple XProtect Configuration Data version 2168 for macOS Catalina (Update Product ID: 032-78556)
- Apple XProtect Payloads version 101 (Update Product ID: 032-97887)
XProtect is part of the built-in antivirus software of macOS. The package does not appear in the Software Update section of System Preferences (or App Store in older versions of the operating system). macOS is updating the software automatically in the background if you have granted the system permission to download system data files and security-related files.
June 22, 2023:
We are releasing Autostarter
version 1.4 through the Mac App Store:
- Added new innovative feature to hide applications after startup which are not capable of supporting launch with hidden windows correctly. The option “Aggressive Hide Mode” can be enabled for otherwise hopeless cases, such as non-native Web Apps. Users can set a specific time interval where an application should be forced continuously to hide after autostart.
- The main window has been simplified and only shows advanced features on demand.
- Fixes a problem where the macOS Open panel rejected to select Autostarter configuration files during an import in some system installations.
Autostarter is a small app that makes it possible to launch applications automatically during login without letting the applications show windows, even with macOS Ventura or later.

We are releasing NFS
Manager version 5.7:
- Added support for new NFS client option in macOS 13 and later: when reading files in memory-mapped mode, the client can generally consider such an access uninterruptible, regardless of mount options trying to override this.
- Added preliminary support for future versions of macOS.
NFS Manager is an application to control the NFS features built into macOS via a comfortable graphical user interface. The application uses Apple’s technologies like Bonjour or Open Directory to make management as easy as possible. When using directory services, NFS Manager can configure NFS features not only for a single computer but for a whole network of thousands of Macintosh systems, with a few mouse clicks only.

SafeView is an internal utility that macOS customers can use to share their screens via Internet with service representatives from Apple or AppleCare. It allows remote access for support purposes. This software is not available to the general public.

We are releasing System Monitor
Plus version 1.6:
- Added temperature sensor support for the new Mac Studio (2023) and the new MacBoook Air (15-inch, 2023).
- Added support for power supply temperature sensors on specific Macintosh models with Apple Silicon.
- Fixes an issue with CPU core sensor identification for 8-core M2 processors.
- Fixes a minor issue with diagnostic support for Intel-based Macs.
System Monitor Plus is a free add-on for System Monitor. After simply copying it to your computer, many additional features become available which are not permitted to be directly included in Apps from the Mac App Store.

We are releasing TinkerTool System
8 version 8.7:
- Added new feature to detect and clear orphaned Access Control List permissions from a local volume. Orphaned ACLs refer to accounts no longer present on the system.
- Added new feature to indicate the true type of file system objects presented by the Finder as alias.
- Added new feature to transfer orphaned files which no longer have a known owner to other user accounts. This is an alternative option for the feature known for years to automatically remove such files.
- Added new feature to repair the operating system in cases where macOS does not allow TinkerTool System to launch successfully due to corrupt settings for Background Items. The corresponding situation is detected automatically.
- Added preliminary support for future operating systems.
- Fixes a compatibility issue with specific versions of macOS where deleting a Time Machine snapshot was always rejected with error code 2 if the backup destination was an APFS volume.

- Added preliminary support for future versions of macOS.
- The sidebar is now respecting the user's size preferences and updates dynamically.
- The document icons have been updated and their storage size has been optimized.
- Fixes a problem where the list of sound effects for the “New Mail” notification was shown in English instead of the user's preferred language.
TinkerTool is an application that gives you access to additional preference settings Apple has built into macOS. This allows to activate hidden features in the operating system and in some of the applications delivered with the system.
