We are re-releasing TinkerTool System 6 version 6.85:
Build 200227 is necessary to maintain compatibility with beta versions of macOS. Users with official versions of macOS don’t need to update from build 200218.
TinkerTool System 6 is a collection of system utility features helping you in performing advanced administration tasks on Apple Macintosh computers. The application makes use of a self-adapting user interface which automatically adjusts to the computer model and to the version of macOS you are running.

Apple releases new software via macOS Software Update:
- Apple XProtect Configuration Data version 2114 (Update Product ID: 061-79888)
- Apple XProtect Configuration Data for OS X El Capitan or later, version 2114 (Update Product ID: 061-79887)
- Apple Malware Removal Tool (MRT) version 1.55 (Update Product ID: 061-79888)
- Apple Malware Removal Tool (MRT), for OS X El Capitan or later, version 1.55 (Update Product ID: 061-79890)
XProtect and MRT are part of the built-in antivirus software of macOS. The packages do not appear in the Software Update section of System Preferences (or App Store in older versions of the operating system). macOS is updating the software automatically in the background if you have granted the system permission to download system data files and security-related files.

Safari Technology Preview allows users to get a sneak peek at upcoming web technologies in macOS and experiment with these technologies in websites and extensions.

We are releasing TinkerTool System 6 version 6.85:
- Added new feature to enable the classic startup chime on selected Macintosh model series released after summer 2016.
- Added new startup option to select special maintenance systems for the next restart. The Recovery OS, Internet Recovery, Apple Diagnostics, and Apple Diagnostics via Internet are available.
- Added new option to add available “signpost” information for software developers when retrieving log data from the operating system.
- The Startup pane was redesigned to consume less space on small screens.
- The Info pane was redesigned to consume less space on small screens.
- Internal diagnostic features have been optimized.
- Communication with the privileged component supports new features to ensure that data is processed in the correct order even under critical situations with high system load or strongly parallelized operations.
- Corrected a problem where some lines of log reports could be partially damaged or would appear in the wrong order.
